Our Vision :-


OCRD -CRCHS-TCSSE  are committed to employing only qualified professionals with at least a PhD Degree in the discipline of competency and a certification in Social Science and Education or ten (10) years research, practical or teaching experience in the discipline of expertise. Our Advisors and Conferences Committees must also demonstrate the emotional intelligence, knowledge and passion required to ensure the confidence of participants in the training offered and trainers’ capability to transfer required knowledge and skills which would redound to the benefit of the trainer, trainee and the success of CRCHS.


The structure of the association consists of an executive director whose office is in Toronto along with elected officers and a national governing board. There is an election for officers every two years and the members of the national governing board are appointed by the executive director along with the elected officers.


Quality assurance is an important success factor for CRCHS. Benchmarking standards are set from international best practices. Training materials produced by our trainers must meet the standards practice tests, are monitored and evaluated periodically by select quality assurance staff,  to ensure professionalism, standards accommodation and application in the training facilitation and implementation processes .All Trainers must first undergo an intense week of familiarization training while facilitators have to then go through a boot camp on the essentials of workshop design and delivery.


Also, We hold an annual fall conference that presents challenging keynote speakers and extensive workshops that investigate a variety of teaching and curriculum issues and strategies – for both elementary and secondary school history and social science teachers.


Technical Capability and Experience


Each team member and international expert associates of  CRCHS has extensive experience providing advice to governments and dealing with decision-makers, university, colleges and other school governance framework structures and civil society organizations, with a view to bringing about timely and consensus-based conclusion as may be necessary.  Each team member within the network of associates is multi-skilled and is able to provide backstopping for a member if the need arises due to any unforeseen circumstances. Each member will be assigned to conduct the required tasks according to his/her individual strengths, thereby ensuring a harmonised and cost-effective delivery of outputs, consequent on the exposure to the opportunity to benefit from the input of an experienced, organised and multidisciplinary team of experts.


Visiting Researcher Scholar Definition


Visiting researcher scholars are individuals who possess a Ph.D. or its equivalent*, and whose primary purpose for residence at Toronto.

 is to conduct independent research. The length of stay for a visiting researcher scholar is at least one month and appointments are granted one year at a time, with a maximum cumulative appointment time of two years.


Visiting Researcher Scholar status does not guarantee assignment of an office or workspace. These must be negotiated with the sponsoring department or research unit.


Visiting student researchers are applicants who are currently enrolled in a degree program and are working to obtain a degree. Generally, visiting student researchers must hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent. Applicants must satisfy all of the following specifications:


  • proposed visit is to conduct research for the purpose of meeting degree requirements from another university;

  • proposed research is of mutual interest to and endorsed by an academic department, ORU, or other Berkeley campus unit;

  • the appointment term must be at least one month and not more than one year in duration

  • have obtained at least a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent.


Each year the Graduate Program hosts some 30 to 35 Visiting Scholars and Visiting Researchers ("Visitors") from around the world. Visiting Researcher is generally someone who is working towards a graduate degree or doing postgraduate work at another institution.
